Digital Literacy: Digital Literacy Resources

Digital Literacy Defined

Digital literacy is "the ability to use information and communication technologies to find, evaluate, create, and communicate information, requiring both cognitive and technical skills" (ALA's Digital Literacy Task Force).

By embedding digital literacy initiatives into coursework, instructors "enable adult learners to succeed in a range of academic activities. These initiatives enhance the integration of technology into instruction, increase student access to technology and leverage learning outside the classroom" (LINCS).
