1. The sooner you ask for help from your professor the better off you will be. Introduce yourself to your professors. Ask questions!
2. Go to class every time it meets!
3. Read your syllabus for each class. Keep track of assignment/reading/test deadlines.
4. Technology can be a headache! If you have problems with technology, get it addressed. Talk to IT, the Library, or your professor depending on what the problem is.
5. Be prepared for class. Have your reading done, your assignments prepared, and questions ready to be asked in class.
6. DO NOT PROCRASTINATE! Even if an assignment isn't due until the last week of the course, don't wait until then to do it.
7. Librarians are some of the most resourceful people you'll ever meet. Did you know they have to complete a Master's degree to become professional librarians? They have mastered the art of finding information and are here to help you find what you are looking for whether it is a class assignment or a personal interest.
