The Writing Review Committee
Membership
- A minimum of two WE qualified faculty members from each of Bethel's three colleges
- In most cases, faculty wishing to serve on the WE Committee will have completed (or will complete) a QEP writing workshop.
- Members will demonstrate knowledge of Bethel's definition of a WE class.
- Chaired by the QEP Director
Duties
- Certify WE instructors. (See WE instructor certification)
- Receive and evaluate faculty proposals for WE versions of courses, and WE designated sections of courses.
- Communicate decisions regarding the WE proposals to authors of WE proposals.
- Assign faculty qualified as WE to assess student writing assessments submitted in classes taught by other instructors.
- Monitor the effectiveness of WE classes.
