Welcome to the Center for Academic Student Achievement (CASA)
The mission of CASA at Bethel University is to provide an opportunity for students to grow intellectually in a positive and caring environment. All Bethel students are eligible to receive free academic services through CASA. This is a place where students of all learning levels can improve their abilities. The following programs are available through CASA: Study Center, Tutoring Center, and the Writing Center.
The Center for Academic Student Achievement is located in the basement of the Burroughs Learning Center on the main campus in McKenzie, TN.
Ask a Tutor is a new feature to CASA that will begin in the Fall of 2017. This feature will allow you to email questions and have a tutor respond. This is meant to be used as a brief reference, and will not substitute a tutoring session.
The email account will be checked between the hours of 8am and 4:30pm. You will need to allow 12-24 hours for a response. If you email on a Friday night, you will need to allow 48 hours.
English question example: "Is this thesis statement too long?"
"Did I properly cite this reference according to APA?"
Math question example: "In this algebra problem I cannot figure out what X is supposed to equal. Do you have a quick suggestion?"
In order to use this service, you will need to be a Bethel student, and us the email address email@example.com
