WORK STUDY CONFIDENTIALITY AGREEMENT
Student, staff and faculty records at Bethel University are confidential. A federal law known as the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) requires that health information be confidential. Additionally, The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) requires that all student academic information remains confidential.
In order to protect this right to confidentiality and to comply with federal and state laws, work study students must agree to hold all information, including, but not limited to: student names; health insurance information and medical issues; academic and other relevant information used by Bethel University, in strict confidence.
Confidentiality includes, but is not limited to: not discussing health conditions of students, staff and faculty; not discussing academic records with persons who do not have a need to know; and not removing any documentation referring to the personal, or health issues of students, staff or faculty from the facility.
