Work Study Disciplinary Policy
Work Study students will fall under the three strike program in the event disciplinary action is needed. All students were told to read the conditions of employment listed on their contract before signing it. When the student signed the contract, it bound them to the conditions of employment listed on the contract and will run for fall and spring semesters.
The three strike procedure is:
STRIKE 1: The student will be written up by their supervisor. The write up will describe the infraction and be dated and signed by the supervisor and the student. A copy of the write up will be sent to the Work Study Directors. They will place the write up in the student’s file. If the student refuses to sign the write up, a copy still needs to be sent to the directors.
STRIKE 2: The student will be written up by their supervisor. The write up will describe the infraction and be dated and signed by the supervisor and the student. The student will be warned that strike two has been committed and the next strike will result in their removal from the Work Study Program. A copy of the write up will be sent to the directors.
STRIKE 3: The student will be written up by their supervisor. The write up will describe the infraction and be dated and signed by the supervisor and the student. A copy of the write up will be sent to the directors. The student will receive an email informing them that they are removed from the Work Study Program. These will be placed in the student’s file. The directors will notify Financial Aid and have them removed from the program.
